RP to Host WPA World Ten Ball Championship
THE
World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA), the international governing body
for pool sports, has awarded the Philippines the rights to host the WPA
World Ten Ball Pool Championship starting in September-October this
year, and for the next four years thereafter.

In a recently concluded board meeting, it was
agreed upon to invite the following to determine top two qualifiers to
WPA World 8-ball Pool Championship to be held in Fujairah, UAE. The
following are: Efren Reyes, Django Bustamante, Joven Bustamante, James
Al Ortega, Dennis Orcullo, Leonardo Andam, Lee Van Corteza, Elvis
Calasang, Marlon Manalo, Antonio Gabica, Warren Kiamco, Bebeng Gallego,
Renemar David, Jeffrey de Luna, Edgar Acaba, Antonio Lining, Rodolfo
Luat and Dodong Didal. Venue for qualifying rounds is STAR Paper
Billiards on Saturday, February 23, 2008 @ 1:00pm.
